Different sports require different skills, but each is classified into many categories.
For example, there's open skills (skills in a changing environment e.g. dribbling a football in game play during a match) and closed skills (skills in a fix environment e.g. a free throw in basketball is partially closed, as there's always a change in crowd etc). Another category is gross (e.g. kicking a ball) and fine (e.g. playing the piano). So to say one sport requires more skill than another is wrong I think, it might require more skills[/], but a skill has to be performed correctly over a period of time to be effective. If someone plays snooker they need a very high concentration level to maintain a good level of play, whereas if a basketball player lacks concentration for any period of time duting a game, many skills can be effected.
Just my two cents.
