Hello!

I am looking for an SSD drive for Windows and games.
I looked at the following three products:
  • Kingston KC3000 2TB - €153
  • Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 - €190
  • Western Digital SN850X 2TB - €183

Which of these do you think is the best choice?

I have another question. Do you think a Kingston KC3000 1TB is suitable for torrenting? Or would you recommend something else?

Thank you very much!

The KC3000 2TB is only £132 from OcUK so looks a very good deal. However, there seems to be some variation in the parts used which could affect performance. So I'd go for the 2TB WD SN850X at OcUK's current price of £145.

Though a big Kingston fan I'm leery of their SSDs/NVMEs they have a bad habit of a bit of bait and switch like changing parts after awhile without having equivalent performance as per the review. I only really use them for lower end storage.

Samsung again I'm a bit leery on, though I have loads of their drives including 2x 990 Pros in my gaming PC, great drives but they've a history of having to push out firmware to fix premature degradation issues including on the 990 Pros.

Another one maybe worth considering is the SK Hynix Platinum - I've been using a few of their drives (Gold and Platinum models) with good results so far.
