What temps should I start to worry about on a B3 Q6600 when running prime95 ?

Hi I am running prime 95 which uses all 4 cores and I am at 3.1ghz at the minute with a max temp of 63c while running prime95.

from knowing my max temps is this at a point were I should stop and be happy with my overclock or can I get some more out of it ??

What temp should I look to stay just below to have a safe Pc running ? around 70c ? :confused:

i would say if you are maxing out around 68-70c in prime then it would be fine...gaming and normal PC use barely ever maxes out all 4 cores.

What is your cooling btw?

I'd say everyone reckons to try and stay around 65c for that warm fuzzy safe feeling

A B3 should be fine upto ~75c under Orthos. Maybe even 80c since Prime95 will create more heat than most other programs.

During the evening (when I've shut my windows) two of my cores consistently hits 72-73c when Folding.
