Age of Empires 3: Asian Dynasties
Company of Heroes 1: Tales of Valor
C&C 3: Tiberian Wars

It's probably for the best AOE4 is never made. The newer generations don't have the patience for anything beyond quick scoping kills in COD.

Surprised nobody has already mentioned the Warhammer games - original and subsequent games, great fun RTS.
First games had base building as well, number 2 does not.

Tiberium Wars is pretty good. It's the best CnC game to date.
