what the....dpd

Ow dear, dpd just msg'd me to say no one was in, except I have been here all day, phone head office, he has taken a picture of the wrong address, house looks nothing like ours, not sure how you can make a mistake if you punch our postcode into a satnav, which leaves him behind time and lying and just taking a picture of a random house.
Delivery drivers generally do not punch post codes into a sat nav.

That's quite interesting, I sort of assumed they'd have some kind of navigation system which would more or less work on a basis of addresses and postcodes. Perhaps all pre-planned out automatically for them.

I'm genuinely interested to know how they work, how their routes are planned etc.

I think what he means is the area covered by your local delivery driver will be pretty small so he wont need to use a sat nav as such. That and his handheld POD will probably also act as a sat nav too.

im guessing that's what he mwans.

that theres a central system and more accurate subscription maps used.

as opposed to a bloke and his tom tom.

although with herpes etc they probbaly are a bloke with a 6 year out of date tomtom

I've supposedly had a Hermes delivery today. The tracking says "Item left securely in outbuilding". So either:

1) They broke into my garage
2) They've delivered to the wrong address
3) The "secure outbuilding" referred to is my bin.

Place bet now..
Edit: Actually I'm going for They broke into my neighbor's garage and superglued it to the ceiling.

Easy he just asks the meeseeks sitting next to them where it is then if that fails then you can guess what happens next :)

the saga continues.

Halfords order meant for last Wednesday arrives smashed to **** half the stuff missing reject delivery.

Halfords say they will to deliver Friday or saturday.

I say I'm not here go through the dpd links change delivery date to tuesday.

receive confirmation thst delivery will be tuesday.

today get email "your order till be delivered monday!"

..... I'm not there, that's why I said Tuesday and why they confirmed Tuesday.

emailed Halfords with the screen shot of we will deliver on the 26th and the email today we will deliver on t he 25th

the im tempted to tell them to go **** themselves and just order elsewhere

Ha ha DPD with their cameras to prove delivery... like the time they took a photo of my parcel inside a wheelie bin... someone else's wheelie bin. Muppets.
