I'm losing my patience with my wireless network, several times a day (its done it now grr) my wireless connection says its not connected and I have to right click the icon and select repair which normally sorts it.

Sometimes the connection appears fine but you can only navigate round the page/pages you're already on, any move away results in the unavailable message but you can go back to the site you were viewing and open new pages within that site?? That requires the modem to be rebooted.

I've had this problem ever since I've had wireless here and in 3 years I've had dlink, netgear, buffalo and belkin wireless router/modems and netgear/onboard/belkin wireless pci cards.. (aha, its back on again!) currently using a dlink DSLG604T.. is it my old house? is it my routers? can they ALL have the same problem?

Is it my overclocked pc???? (gone again)..

I'd much rather have wired... :(

Goto device manager and look at the properties of youe wifi card, look for power management option and disable it, see if that sorts it out.

There aren't any other wireless signals nearby which may be conflicting?

I have dect phones but the base for that is upstairs?

Also how do you change channels?

EDIT: in device mgr there's no option for power management (except to say its on full) but there is an option for IBSS channel number which is currently 11..
