That's your answer... it's Scuzi-watch. But they appear to have the wrong street....I lead a very exciting life (ho ho). Following on from my last WTF drunk thread, I'm back home in Ireland at the minute and on my walk home from the pub, I noticed that the street facing me has been cordoned off by the police. There's quite a few police officers standing around the perimeter guarding it with assault rifles.
Ive seen them in my area of northern ireland with older h&k g3 assault rifles and 9mm mp5 sub machine guns. with single, 3 round burst and full auto selectors. I can remember years ago when they used to carry fn fal rifles and m1 carbines and sterling sub machine guns. The psni has certainly upgraded, the seargeant who came to inspect my gun cabinet for my shotgun was carrying a glock 17 pistol as his sidearm.
Nah. Opposite has happened. Torture flights and Guantanamo and all that.Either that or Al Queda have finally made the old republican boys realise they can still fight a war if they want to.
Possibly.
But you have to remember that this is Northern Ireland. There are still plenty of places where the PSNI aren't welcome (parts of Lurgan are certainly included), and sometimes replying to even the simpliest call requires a full scale operation.
We have more than our fair share in Lurgan, now officially the most active area for dissident Republicans. I can't believe that guys I went to school with are now making bombs in their kitchens. It's sickening.
