Right,

Fresh install of XP, then installed SP2. Upon reboot I get the "BOOT DISK FAILURE. INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER" message. Mess around with a few things including BIOS and leads and whatever, but in the end decide to reformat and reinstall. I delete the partition it was on, but when i go to create a new one it says the max I can have is 131060!!!!!

WHAT!!?! WHHHAAATTT?!?!?!

Please help.

So just install xp like normal then expand the partition later?

I don't need to install any fixes before sp2 do I? I seem to remember there were one or two? one with net in the name?

Well everything is working now.

Now to utilise the rest of the drive! How do I create another partition without touching the other one? And are you SURE you can't expand/extend the existing one? I could have sworn i've done it before!
