What the **** is privilege?

Its the standard thing though throughout the generations, your parents had less than you did at your age, and your grandparents had less than them at their age.

The point is that this is no longer the case.

My parents were quite poor, having left school young and stayed in fairly low paid jobs, so I'm better of than they were. But many of my friends, from more middle-class backgrounds, are substantially worse off than their parents, despite similar achievement.

that would be as i mentioned to do with uni grants being replaced with loans, instead of being given money to do a degree students are now walking out into what jobs are available with £20k's worth of debt that they need to pay off before even thinking of saving for a house deposit (hence the complaints about houses).

combine that with the current wage/cost of living ratio, the increased desire for costs such as internet connection, expensive phones, nice cars beauty products and holidays being seen as "essentials" (with varying degrees of validity).

Another fat people thread....................

These threads could go on forever, a fatties going to fat no matter what.

I know to some its a fetish to be smothered in skin and fat, but for the life of me I don't get it.

I also know one thing for sure, the zombies will get them first! :D
It's yet another 'thing' dreamt up by generation *********, it along with all that safe space ******** and new wave feminism nonsense.

Reading/watching anything on the above just makes you feel sorry for the future, and aghast that people can be so idiotic.

My 2P anyway.
Aye, back in, say 2006 that was a happy medium, not much social media back then.

My question, as someone who thought that "privileged" means "well off" or "in a position of influence" is, what the blithering **** are these people talking about?

They are bigots blaming the people they are bigoted against and trying to get them to feel guilty for being in the "wrong" group and to hate themselves. Same old, same old, just with even more hypocrisy and dishonesty.

There are only really two routes for a bigot to take to "rationalise" their irrational prejudices. They can either say that the group they are targeting is subhuman or that it is privileged. Either way requires ignoring the existence of people, of course, since a bigot will see only group identities. Saying that it is privileged is more effective nowadays because it "justifies" prejudice and discrimination while calling it "equality", thus corrupting the very idea of equality at the same time, and it's far harder nowadays to get away with openly declaring that people of the "wrong" sex, "race", etc are subhuman.

Oh god I watched more of that video... The next woman on there complaining that it's not their fault, it's the world's fault for not accommodating them (such as larger plane seats etc). Had to stop watching, also must not comment.

Not worth a spack out. :D
