What time is the euro millions draw?

You could easily see that turn in to the biggest regret of your life.

Lol, just lol.

Why? He just ran a set of random numbers off his head. How do you know had he bought a ticket he would have picked those same numbers?

The lottery is a joke and a scam that fools millions by tendering prizes of millions. It is nothing but a tax on the foolish and greedy. This is the real world, why in the name of GOD should any one of you deserve to be handed a small fortune for doing absolutely sod all. Can anybody say they would use their winnings purely for good and not for self gain.

The hype these 'events' conjure makes me ashamed to be human. A bunch of desperate charlatans grabbing at straws in the hope of a better life.

Better than nothing I guess ^.^

Congratulations, youve just earned yourself (minus the initial investment) a free bacon xl double from Burger King.

Christ you can get better deals from sainsburys nectar points, only with them, you actually get a product out of your investment as well.

I've left my lotto ticket in the kitchen, I'm at work till 0200 :(

Gonna be really upset if i get home and I've won :p

Be even more upset if the wife's changed the locks and dissapeared ;)

So tell me this. If you just happened to buy a lottery ticket, and you just happened to win the jackpot. What would you say then?

Jealous much lmfao. Wow, talk about making a biggie over nothing. I was being slightly sarcastic to begin with anyway. This thread is also aimed at people who are playing the lottery tonight, not dealing with Sainsbury's nectar points that is a different story.

So for you my friend, you continue with your Sainsbury's nectar points and I'll continue with my lottery - then were both happy aren't we :) Good luck with that, because out of all these things there is a way for them to make money out of that. These supermarket retailers make you want to spend more with them if you think about the "nectar points" you'll gain and after you spent a sufficient amount more than what you'd normally spend without the nectar points being in place then they've already made enough money out of you to give you back say "half" in their own goods. Which for example if you buy something at Sainsbury's for £6.00 it may have only costed them £1.00 so you may think your winning on that one but in fact your not.

I'll stick to paying £1.50 for this ticket and gaining £5.50 free in return. Better profit than what your receiving.

Anyhow, enjoy the rest of your evening.

The question is flawed because i never will buy a lottery ticket.

If, on some sad, desperate and lonely day i ever decided to purchase a lottery ticket, summoned 6 numbers into my head and won, i would say 'Well ****** me' (rhymes with mugger). I would then proceed to dance up and down on the spot, shouting with glee and whooping into the air, before finally coming back down, clicking my heels together three times and returning to Kansas.

First though, im off to find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. See ya!

Do you win the minimal amount every time you play then? Wow you must be one heck of a lucky chancer.

Also, *sigh* im not saying Nectar points are a good investment, your quite right they are about as dull as an episode of The Mighty Boosh, but next to the lottery they are practically gold dust.

Just ignore him Duke, you can tell he is American (referring to the Kansas quote). They're different to us British folk :D

You make it sound like a chore. Betting can be fun you know.

Of course betting can be fun! Gambling stimulates many of the pleasure centers of the brain that other vices do. However the lottery requires absolutely no skill and is pure luck. A sensible gambler will take a chance in a field where his odds of choosing the correct outcome are greatly increased.

For instance, if i was a passionate football fan, i would consider betting on the outcome of football matches. Assuming I have kept up with how the league and have a good idea of how the players are performing, with statistics and averages, i can use this information to formulate a bet with a greater probability of success than against somebody who knows nothing about football. Of course, even with the best information at hand, nothing is guaranteed, thats luck.

The lottery on the other hand, no matter how much you try to influence your choices, will always give you the same improbable chance of winning. If this were not true, mathematicians left right and center would be basking in their winnings.

The lottery is a fools game.

Playing the lottery and gambling on football are two entirely different things. Betting on football is never going to make you millions unless you're prepared to bet hundreds of thousands at least. With the lottery there is the chance that a single ticket starting at £1 could win you £x million. The target audience is completely different and playing the lottery occasionally doesn't make you foolish or greedy. Most people can easily afford £1.50 every few months (a lot of which goes to charity) for the chance of winning millions. I know it's nothing out of my pocket.
