What to do about 'Gardening Leave'

Unless you swore and someone external heard it for example over the phone you could have had a tribunal, there has to be a process and they clearly didn't follow it!

PS what did you do about this mentioned in your main post?

In the end I found out my start and leave dates (gardening leave was counted as employment) so in the end non issue.
 
I'd be taking the former company to tribunal and getting compensation for unfair dismissal tbh
