What sort of employment are you looking for?

The big ICT qualifications to go for are the vendor exams, Cisco & Microsoft.

Which one is most useful to you depends on exactly what sort of job you are after.

Any ideas what sort of field or job tittle within ICT would suit you?

CCNA is a good starting point if you want to get in to networking.

MCSE would be more benificial if you were leaning towards a hardware or technical support job.

There are indeed many others, it all depends where you want to go.

As everyone else will tell you though, these are simply starting points, if you pick the right qualification for the area that you want to get in to, it definatley get you going, but wont work miracles, most employers are going to want some sort of experience.

Personally im doing a computer science degree, as its pretty general and im not too sure what sort of area within ICT would suit me most. I am now leaning towards networking though, and as such am studying for the CCNA in my own time along side the degree.

Hard to say really, its such a wide field.

Have a look around some job sites and recruitment websites, and see what sort of jobs interest you.

It will be easier to advise you on which qualifications are right for you then.
