what to do before i trade a console in?

If you have a lot of Forza material it would consume most of that. I'm not sold on cloud storage uploading has to be more fragile than moving it about locally. I thought you would be able to make a duplicate save to the cloud.

Licence transfer isn't that hard I didn't pay any attention to the serial numbers. Its just a case of clicking next and following the steps.
 
Turned out easy in the end, just checked it on my console and it was right, also didn't take long to get all my dlc (roughly about 4gb).

New console is so much quieter than my Elite.
