What to do in Birmingham on Monday night?

Yeah, but it's not like they'd be going and being miserable, just a nice night away with the wife for a meal/drinks is enough to make it worthwhile to me.

Yeah, but there's "a nice night away with the wife for a meal/drinks" and then there's going to Birmingham.

If you really can't think of anything to do I'd not bother going. Shame about the hotel not being able to offer a refund or change the date to accommodate the show.

Sunk cost fallacy.

Unfortunately the show hasn't got a reschedule date yet, else I would have tried. And yea, the sunk cost fallacy was my argument if there was nothing worthwhile to do, we go out and stay away a lot anyway.

Villagers tickets booked, cheers for the recommendation @Martynt74 :)

We're staying near Broad Street, so plenty of nice places to eat around there and might try and squeeze the Duel in at Cineworld before we come back on Tues!

Awesome, don't forget to buy their album in the MM :p

What was the original gig out of interest? I've not really seen any postponements for a while.

Alanis Morrisette - it was one bounced from last year..... though tbh we must have missed the communication about it's current postponement since we were wondering where the tickets were, so checked online....and it had already been postponed from the 18th Oct to the 15th Nov and now the Nov date has been postponed with no new one announced yet.

Scruffy Murphys bar, just on the edge of the bullring.

Cheap drinks, plays rock music, attractive bar staff in skimpy outfits.

And there is a McD's about 100 years down to stumble into for drunken quater pounders after midnight.
