What to do in Chicago..

Work are sending me to Chicago for a week, and other than recovering from jetlag and keeping an eye out for suspicious people with violin cases, what things should I do or avoid with my spare time?

The depot I'm going to is actually in West Chicago, (next to DuPage Airport if you know it) so the tips on the public transport might be useful for getting to the waterfront and the centre. I'm always up for trying new food so that could be interesting too!

I'm not sure how much time I'll have free, but at first I thought it might get a bit dull. By the sounds of it that will be saved for the slightly less glamerous but more regular buisness trips to Dumfries..
