So i have had my Dell Streak for about 10 months now, about 4 months after having the handset the glass underneath the gorilla glass decided to go, so after sending it off, O2 saying they can confirm i didnt break it  they sent me a "new" hand set, 4 months after that "new" handset arrive the charger port decides it doesnt want to work any more, so after chatting to the lovely lady in the repair centre she said that the account shows a "refurb" handset was sentm but she is going to have a look in to it and see if that was the case before they book the handset back in AGAIN to get the charger working.

so my question is do i just ask for a new handset to be sent out or do i ask for more than just a new handsey (free upgrade/discount tariff etc) for two major faults within 10 months and also a refurb handset being sent ?

Not sure exactly of O2's policy but I know a few of the others and it's mostly the case of 3 breaks of the same handset and your choice opens up. How much you pay per month will have a great deal of impact in what they offer you though or if they will honour requests like this. The replacement was a refurb - that's standard mobile business practice, you wouldn't have got a new one after 30 days sorry (but honestly it's like new - they replace the outer shell, clean the insides up etc...).
