What to do with Gamecube

I've just brought a Dreamcast after several months of thinking about the idea and was hoping my wife would thank me for buying the best console ever made. Instead she seem slightly anoyed that i now own eight consoles and have been told to get rid of two of them for some reason. I wanted to get rid of the Wii but have been told that has to stay so i'm getting rid of a Playstation 2 and Gamecube. Selling the Playstation isn't too much of a problem but Gamecube are so cheap now it seems rather pointless. So can anyone suggest any uses for the Gamecube

Give it away to a relative? Someone with kids who would enjoy playing it? I still have my gamecube but havent touched it in months - poor thing!

There is no use for a gamecube if you have a wii.

I would give it to a relative or friend who has youngish children and give away games such as mario cart.

get a gba player for the bottom of the gamecube and an lcd screen for it. Then claim its a new GBA. As handhelds are 'different' to full blown consoles she will be forced to concede to your genius and let you keep it.

Why?

If both are unused and you can get money for one, and no money for the other which would you choose? I know I'd choose similarly. And yeah krees idea seems a good'un.

Vonhelmet do you doubt that the Dreamcast was the best console ever made or i was mad to think my wife would like it?

I'm also not convinced it was the greatest console ever, but I wasn't in touch with the console scene back then, so can't really comment.

I'll let you off the wife bit as it seems i'm i'm in a minority about women loving games consoles.

With regards to the Dreamcast being the greatest console well i suggest you buy one. It was launched 1.5 years before the PS2 yet the games continued to offer better graphics. It was the first console to launche online games to the masses and it had one of the best games line up of any console. Which console could match it possible the SNES but no other.

(The Wii if you include its Gamecube backwards compatibility)

Give the gamecube to charity or a local hospital. They aren't worth much so it's not really any skin off your back.

That's a really good idea. We've got quite a few spare consoles around here, I may do this myself if I can get Fortyseven to part with them
