Hi guys

Im currently having a problem deciding which gfx card to get i have roughly £350 to spend.

My set up is i7 950 3.06 overclocked to 4.00
6gig xms memory
1 gig Xfx radeon 5870
650w Psu
I mainly play Mmo's and Fps on my computer, any info is appreciated :)

£350 for a 1080p? The only ones that cost that kind of dough are the 120hz screens that uses crappy TN displays. I would recommend the Dell U2410 or I think you can pick up the HP W2408 for a £350 budget.

My 1200p was £325. Its a TN, but a really really good TN :)

They dont make it anymore though.

I dont know much about current monitors, I didnt mean spend the whole £350 on one 1080 monitor lol, just that a 1080p should be the minimum res you get, and a 24" the minimum size.

I have a dell p2310h. Lo e it.
So versatile. I would get the u2311h and another 5870. You couldneven get a 5850 if you wanted to

I have a U2410 and I really recommend it. Its a lovely monitor! But I suppose if you aren't that bothered about picture quality go for a less expensive one ;)

No idea why you'd be that bothered about upgrading, the 5870 is no slouch and if you're not gaming at 1920x1080+ it seems totally pointless to me.

Even my old 4870 was coping well at 1920x1080, 1680x1050 is nothing!

lol all these monitors and what to buy hmmmmm i could get a decent monitor this month and wait till next month to get a 2nd 5870 or visa versa
Oh 1 more thing i have the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard isnt the 2nd slot for crossfire suppose to be really tight?

Although most are 1080 now, avoid 1920x1200 monitors as that's a lot of extra pixels to drive and a massive leap from Your current resolution.....You would need a new GFX card to play at the setting You are accustomed too ;)
