What to get with £1100 MAX ? (Full system)

A friend of mine is looking to buy an entire system (Tower, Monitor + Speakers, Keyboard & Mouse etc) and he said that at an absolute max he is willing to spend £1100 on it. What should he expect to get from that ammount ? I would have thought a quad core system with a 9800 GTX or something, but id like to hear some other views. It would be a pre-built system.
 
Well he wants it to be as good as it can be for everything, including gaming (he really wants to play Crysis). Gaming will be a big part of it :).
