What to look for?

Hi guys,

I'm after a new TV max probs 1k - or a tad over

my current TV is old school CRT must be about 16yr now or more so i have no idea what to look for anymore.


i want to connected my xbox and ps3 and HiFi to the TV the wall i want to put it on is 58" wide and height isnt an issue.

i will mainly be using it for DVD/Blu-Ray / and gaming

it will be near a window to the left but don't think it would be an issue

odd enough i was looking at Sony 40Z5500 i've been trying to see if there is a way if i can pay monthly :P

I've decided that i will be getting a plasma but have no idea what do get , would like 50" or over
