Am looking for a little performance upgrade and can't make up my mind where if anywhere to improve my pc. I know I could upgrade to Sandybridge but it seems rather pointless as my cpu is pretty much fine for what I currently use it for!

Spec is as follows

Gigabyte P55a-UD7 motherboard
i5 760 @ 4Ghz
8gb DDR3
2x 5850 in crossfire at 900/1100
500gb boot drive
2x320gb F4 games raid drive
2x 1TB F3 raid storage

I purchased a Force 3 SSD a while ago and had endless problems with it, plus the fact that my sata 3 controller on the motherboard is pants (marvell) so I sent it back.

Anyone with any ideas would be great to hear some advice:)

Thanks

What do you currently use your PC for? :p

What's your budget?

You couldn't really get a single GPU that would beat your current set up...

I'd be suggesting an SSD or a Case tbh....

SSD - Go for the M4 - The Force 3's have had problems, where as the M4 has had no commonly reported issues, with the latest firmware giving it a boost in speed. They're on this week only as well ATM. So you could pick up a 128GB maybe?

Does it need to a performance gain, new monitor or another monitor?

I would say your system is pretty good at the moment.

I currently have a HAF 932 case, have a 22" monitor (1650x resolution, don't want 1080p as it'd probably push my graphics cards!)

I play Battlefield Bad Company 2, L4D 1&2, CS:S, COD:MW2 and am looking to play diablo three if its ever released! I occasionally play around with photo's but very rarely and sometimes the odd video conversion (again very rare)

Keyboard I have the microsoft comfort split key thing and love it, mouse I have a G5. My headphones aren't that healthy anymore, and since I've given away my speakers (were used as an amp!)due to lack of space theres barely any volume coming out of them :( I like my music loud ;)

Ah, then maybe a sound card?

Depending on your budget depends what I'd suggest, the Xonar DG is particularly good for the price as it has Dolby Headphone and an built in Amp...
