Severance. Started watching this last week. Just two episodes left. Such an unusual watch and really gets you thinking.

Slow, slow pace, which I normally hate, but it works so well for this show. And while the pace of the show is slow, the hour just flies by!! IT goes so quick that sometimes I can't believe that the episode is over.

As I said, two episodes left, the pressure is mounting. I am really looking forward to seeing what happens next.

The Deuce

Binged all three seasons over the weekend. Excellent series about porn/prostitution in an area of New York throughout the 70/80s. Lots of parallels can be drawn with 'The Wire' as the same writers and some of the same cast.

- Season 3 of Blacklist. Good show.
- Season 3 of The Boys. Love it, although I feel like some of the episodes could be trimmed by 10 minutes.
- Season 4 of Stranger Things. When it's good, it's very good. There's some bits I don't like though.
- Season 4 of Riverdale. First two episodes were normal and then episode 3 was just 'lmao' mental.

Man vs Bee.

Quite stressful yet kinda amusing.

Amusing and easy to watch 10min episodes...probably because no-one could watch it in one go without being on edge. :D
I’m really looking forward to this. As they’re just 10+- minute episodes I would have envisaged just binging the lot - have read a couple of reviews that say it would be better suited as a movie?

Yeah I reckon it isn't a movie due to the anxiety it creates. :p

It kinda works as episodes as you can watch each 'mishap' in a separate chapter if that makes sense. Otherwise it ends up being too chaotic.

Started watching The Shining Girls only seen the first episode so far.

Seems like a murder detective/reporter thriller at the moment, but is quite disorientating. Looks decent though.

EDIT: A good few episodes in now. This has gotten pretty good. It feels familiar. I'm wondering if there's been a film other series based on the book.

After remembering the 70's cartoon Battle of the Planets in a recent nostalgia thread on here I went and sought out the original Japanese Gatchaman series that BotP was a cut-down sanitised version of for kids. I am not disappointed, it is much more adult in theme and the stories make a lot more sense as when comparing them to the BotP versions it really is quite remarkable how much of the narrative was changed to make it a kids show. I still have massive nostalgic memories of BotP, but now seeing how it should have been as Gatchaman I think it still holds up today, despite it being 50 god damn years old this year.
