Hello
I thought it was a bit early for bees, but I found one on the lawn on my way out earlier. It looked a bit worse for wear, stumbling around pretty slowly like it was about to die.
I'd read somewhere, (might have been here), that if you give a bee honey when it's tired (?) it sorts it out so I thought I'd give it a go!
So first off, here's Mr (or Mrs) bee;
What type of bee is it? doesn't look like a normal bee to me.
Mmmm, lovely honey, so nice it lifted a leg off the ground
;
It had a big spike (technical term) on it's head, which it seemed to 'eat' the honey with, the spike seemed to have some sort of tongue device which came out of it, most odd.
Here's a better pic of said spike protrusion;
Anyway, after a bit of honey, it started moving about more quickly, then naffed off without so much as a thank you, inconsiderate oik!
Is it a Mozambique killer bee or what?
