what type of error leaves no trace?

Sounds like the problem to me. You can't run a rig like that on a cheap PSU ;)

Yep I just googled the name (never heard of it) and found some for sale.. they are budget PSUs. Gotta be the prime suspect methinks...

left my pc on overnight running fear (didnt crash this time)
pc temps and volts
is it that bad?

That looks fine to me, but it doesn't prove that the PSU is reliable because it only needs to drop its output for a second for a reboot to occur. I realise brand name PSUs are expensive but you do generally get what you pay for where PSUs are concerned.

i have a spare PSU here but probably same quality is there anyway of using both but splitting the power between them
i.e 1 psu for the graphics card alone and the other for everything else?

I wouldn't recommend trying that personally - I don't know what other people think.

I'd agree- you're just asking for trouble doing that :) You're just gonna have to buy a decent one with good, solid rails

just a thought - but you say you left your pc on over night without it crashing, well it may be down to your plugs / house electrical supply. At night usage will be lower so that may be why it didnt crash. Have you got your pc plugged into a 4 way extension or similar? try plugging directly into the wall maybe.

But most probably it sounds like PSU is not up to the job. Try an enermax noisetaker or similar. Expensive, but worth it.
