What type of games will my system play?

Why spend so much money on parts and not research what games it could handle.

Screams "I have more money than sense or my parents do"

I wasn't posting this just to boast about my graphics card. I know the graphics card is good. Just im having thoughts about my CPU letting me down as some games recomend 2.4ghz.

Sorry if this was a silly question?

I feel bad now.

You should have made this a CPU topic, you can see how it looks like willy waving?

Its looks alright. I'm not overly sure myself, what RAM did you get? Are you good for overclocking?

Overclock it then, a 2180 will do 3ghz no problem as long as the motherboard isn't a complete POS.

The only thing I can't figure out, is why you'd spend (at least) £300 on a graphics card, and barely £60 on the CPU.

See above, for games right now there's little need to spend more if you're overclocking. Even if you're not the core 2 CPUs aren't exactly slow at stock.

Why does everything have to turn into a flame war these days?
He only wanted to know what games he could play...

lolage - you should be fine, any of the latest titles should run quite nicely on your machine.

What resolution will you be gaming at?

There are plenty of helpful guides on the net for overclocking, and I'm sure if you make a post in the Overclocking & Cooling section of this forum you'll get some friendly advice.

It's worth having a read through a few Core 2 Duo overclocking threads in the Overclocking & Cooling section too. It's relatively easy, you just need confidence and patience :)

It should give you a nice little boost in those games that are a little more CPU demanding.

Thank you for your kind post. I will be playing on 1680x1050 with a 22" widescreen.
