What type of rum to mix with coke?

I always have Dark rum with coke and lime. Got given one of those years ago when I was 18 ish, been drinking them since LOL

Generally Lambs Navy if in a pub, the decent stuff I wont mix.

If you are making rum and coke it's not really crucial which rum you use. Spiced rums always work well.

As for people using stuff like Diplomatico to make a rum and coke, that's a sipping rum - it's not really meant for drowning it in coke!
