what Upgrade next?

Well ive upgraded from an A64 3500+ rig to the rig in my sig yesterday.

Just wondering what upgrade to do next?

X-Fi - Wouldnt mind one but im pretty happy with the Audigy I have now

GFX - Again id love an 8800GTS 320Mb but £200 is a bit steep at the moment and my 7900GS runs stuff ok for now. Would prefer a cheap 7900GTO from the MM

Memory - This is what im looking at. Currently got 2Gb PC6400 but it 2x512Mb Geil Value 6400 and 2x512Mb Nanya 6400. It dosent overclock that well so im running it at stoc at the moment. Thinking of replacing it with a 2Gb Geil Low latency kit in the hope og getting 3ghz out of my E6300

Opinions?

get a new GFX card but get at least an 8 series card or see what ati has on offer

Looks like you have quite a nice system as it is, I reckon you should just hold out a couple of months and check out a getting a new graphics card.

Thats my initial thought, but ive got the itch, i know my system could do more and im 99% sure the RAM is holding it back.

Bearing in mind what i could sell my current RAM for the cost of changing to low latency stuff that overclocks decently would be fairly minimal

You're probably right, it might be worth going for 2x 1GB RAM Especially if you can give it that magic 30mhz overclock to get your e6300 upto 3ghz.

Get the 2gb Geil Kit, its a steal at just over £110, would be a lot better than the mix and match RAM you have now.
