What Vcore have you run through your Conroe?

Just wondering what people are considering as 'safe' voltage at the moment. Any associated info on temps (idle and under load) would also be nice.

Please list your mobo as well.

Personally mine's staying at stock volts for the forseable future but I'm interested all the same.

I'm currently giving mine about 1.575V on water. Peak temps are about 60C so it's a bit toasty.

Run S&M!!! Also - what's your NB temp Jokester?

Currently with the window open and it being a bit chilly it's 35C. My PWMIC is currently -48C :o .

As I was saying the other day, treat temps with some level of skeptisicm.

Excuse my ignorance, is speedfan using the motherboard sensor or the on die cpu diode?

I've got no idea to be honest, but it doesn't pick it up as the first sensor. It warrants further investigation as I'm getting "strange" temps between Prime and S&M (Prime being significantly hotter than S&M).

I ask because there is a 15C delta from the motherboard sensor and the core diode. If it reading the MB then your nearer 75C core temp and that's getting near the throttling point. It's maybe worth mentioning that some of these C2D's are nowhere near flat.

You might be on to something there:-

First peak is S&M, second is 2xPrime then 1xPrime.

Verifying clockspeed now whilst running S&M.

Edit: If it is throttling CPU-Z or Clockgen isn't picking it up.

Edit: Core Temp is giving me +15C over Speedfan (both cores the same temp)

Edit: S&M is marginally (1-2C) cooler than Prime according to Core Temp

If it works anything like a P4, throttling won't show up in Clockgen or CPU-Z - the processor inserts 'wait cycles' between calculations which don't affect the reported clock speed. You need something like ThrottleWatch, though I dunno if it works with Conroes.
