What vehicle for mobile valeting?

If he is dead set on a pickup then Amarok is by far the nicest to be spending long hours on the road in and has one of if not the biggest bed dimensions but also expensive. Personally I don't like a pickup without a V6 but that is me. L200, etc. IMO are more suited to odd jobs around the farm, etc.

I would say so cant get a mobile valeted up in Glasgow pre lockdown with less than a weeks notice and those that are decent are booked weeks in advance

And you tend to find those who get one car valeted will want 2 or 3 done at a time

How much would you pay per car?

I'd consider it if I had a passion for it but I don't really... so I imagine washing cars every day would get boring very quickly as there is no real desire.

@OP wouldn't your friend be better off starting small, to minimise expenses and establish the business?

Yes he would and that is his plan. He has most the equipment already and once the current situation is lifted he plans on starting using his focus but he wont be able to carry his own water supply in that. He has been doing his family and some friends cars for a while now including mine. When i did have the time to do it myself. When ever i have a few questions about something on the topic, he is one of my sources of information.
