Wondering if anyone is getting BOINC/CUDA working on their notebook GPUs;
I recall trying a while back and stopping as it got too hot, but now I can't even get it working;
Boinc is up to date. 6.6.38, Nvidia driver is best that i can find (8600M) at 186.81. Boinc reports it has a nvidia GPU, with compute capability 1.1 (is this cuda version?)
So far no work units have switched to the GPU; am guessing there are gpu specific wus? or is it because the cuda version is not up to scratch?
I know in the gauntlet thread there's something about WU switchers, but haven't gotten my head around it yet.

If you're trying SETI, there's no work for anyone. Look for a different CUDA project or wait 12-24 hours until they (hopefully) get it sorted.

Grimgoth,

after a quick google I found this:

"The minimum required driver version to use CUDA is 177.35"

But to use the latest CUDA 2.3 with the latest Lunatics optimised apps you'll need at least 190.38

I see the notebook driver is at version 185.85 and only supports CUDA 2.2, but there is a beta notebook driver for CUDA 2.3 available here.
