Hi,

I'm trying to connect my shuttle SN45G into my Panasonic Viera 37" LCD. The native resolution of the LCD is XGA (1024 x 768 with a 15:9 aspect ratio).

The connector I've got offers video modes of

480i, 480p, 540p, 720p and 1080i

My question is, what setting should I use to fit best with the 1024 x 768 15:9 resolution?

Ok, I'm having real with this. I have the 9800pro plugged in to the 37" LCD via component. The default resolution on start up is 720 x 400. I'm pretty sure the TV should be able to support at least 1024x768 (or maybe 1280x768), but when I asjust the resolution in display properties I lose the picture. I've tried fiddling about with powerstrip but whenever I change the resolution on that I lose the picture as well.

How can I increase the resolution without losing the picture?

Any help much appreciated,

Cheers,

Fred

Doesn't your panel have one of the following:

1. HDMI
2. DVI
3. VGA

Any of these 3 will allow you to set the native resolution.

If only :)

The version I have is old (lx1 model), so only has Scart and component. I've got the component working fine at 720x400, but if I change it to any other resolution then I lose the picture (looks like the horizontal or vertical frequencies go arwy with the picture looking like a vhs with very bad tracking).

I'm suspecting that the problem is one of two things

1) The signal from my video card is somehow locked to 480i, so 720x400 is pretty much as high as the desktop resolution can go

2) When the resolution is increased, the frequencies go out of sync with the TV

This is driving me crazy!

Any ideas?
