What vitamins do you take and why?

Get blood work done and go see a dietician first to see if you've got any deficiencies.

Otherwise, you can end up feeling worse, particularly with B vitamins.

None, if your diet is good then all the intake vitamins you need will be contained in the meals/fruits you eat anyway so don't need excess vitamins. Anything else will be down to as mentioned above ^

D - As prescribed by my GP for deficiency, found by low calcium levels at a blood test I had for something unrelated.

I take Vitamin D from October through to May as I don't get enough of it through the darker months, much like @tres

I also take cod-liver oil daily, always have and it's more of a habit than anything now

I take a general multivitamin, but am also prescribed thiamin and folic acid due to deficiency

People who drink regularly should keep an eye on their thiamine level

I take multivitamins and cod liver oil when I remember to. I try to do it every day but I often forget.

I have a friend that forget to take pills too. I honestly don't understand how, just add it into your routine for a meal. Put it on the table with your drink at dinner time, or put the pot next to your kettle for your morning tea etc. It's really not hard :p.

Unless you're suffering from Alzheimer's, of course ;)

Probably true for the majority of people, sure. But a lot of people's bodies are broken somewhat, and need that little extra help.

I used to leave them out in the kitchen but my wife doesn't like that, she says it makes the place untidy [she has OCD]. I may take them to work and put them in my food drawer, I'm much more likely to remember then.

I take Wellman's multiviatmin for men because I have Crohn's Disease. The dietician recommends I take it because people with Crohn's often have malabsorption and I'm also lactose intolerant, so it might help ensure I have the vitamins I need.

Also, I take vitamin D because we were trapped inside for so long.

The only real way to know what you need is to be tested, though.

I have some turmeric style tablets for joint care and some magnesium/zinc tablets for an iron deficiency and just leave each bottle on my desk. Since i've done this i take them daily (although forget at weekends!)

As prescribed due to long term use of steroids
Vitimin D3 + K2 Mk7
Calcium (citrate)

Through choice
EPA/DHA fish oil
Magnesium (glycinate)

Did try turmeric for about a week but gave up because the capsules were difficult to swallow.
If you have joint pains then stick it out. It has given my mum a bit of a lifeline with her dodgy hips.

I take Centrum multi-vit just as a top-up as it was the only one I could find that didn't have bonkers NRV values (the worst is 143% for Vit B6) and I take Magnesium at night to help sleep.

Pure Encapsulations - Magnesium Glycinate
Life Extension - Vitamin D3
Life Extension - Vitamin K2 MK-7
Nordic Naturals - Ultimate Omega

I only buy the top quality brands as most supplement suppliers are of poor quality and do more harm then good.
