I can't quite work out which volatge my CPU is running at. Is it the core voltage in CPU-Z or the VID in core temp?

So is that an acceptable voltage for a 4.1 OC?

Could it be pushed further?

Also, why does my vcore drop when stress testing? I thought it should rise.

It will rise depending on oc. You should easily be able to get it to 4.4 and beyond depending on your cooling.

You should be able to get 4.2 GHZ easy on that vcore, think mine took 1.200v. It's been a while since I ran it that slow lol.

I'd say you should get to 4.6 GHz pretty easily with around 1.32v.
Your vcore will fluctuate slighty it's caused by vdroop.

Right, I got it to 4.2 and ran Prime for about 15 mins. Everything fine.

When I push up to 4.3ghz, one of the workers seems to be stopping instantly.

I'm not sure how to do the voltages. It's an extreme 4 gen 3 board. The auto OC function doesn't appear to be very stable.

Auto Oc doesn't do 4.3GHz, you must have done it manually.
What CPU cooler are you using and have you set the XMP profile for the ram ?
Also make sure you disable spread spectrum, so it's on 100 BCLK.

This is how mine runs 24/7 set ram to XMP profile first.

Just noticed it's an older pic I've dropped the CPU PLL Voltage to 1.750v now :)

I tried those settings and it threw a right paddy! It rebooted about 3 times then just sat there with a black screen and grey line at the top.

I rebooted and managed to get it back to 4.2ghz with the same settings in your post. It seems to be stable enough, but wont go any higher.

I feel disappointed. I reckon I have a poor chip.

Doesn't the board come with some preset oc? Sure I've seen people with factory presets foe higher speed.

Not seen one before that won't at least do the Turbo 4.4GHz :(

Can you post screen shots of your bios setting ?

I may be getting somewhere!

This screenie should show stability at 4.4ghz. It's been running for over half an hour and passed that 10k self test thingie on all four cores. To get here, I boosted my voltage some more and it's now hitting 1.304 under 100% load.

I dont want to take liberties, but do you think I could reach 4.6?

Try pumping up the Load Line Calibration, also I think PLL Overvoltage is recommended to be enabled at 4.6 and above. I'm not sure on the ASrock boards if level 1 is the highest or level 10 (what ever is the highest at the other end of the scale, I think its 10), I'm sure someone with the board should be able to help :)
