What VRAM is needed for maximum settings and 4K?

Nice results hun. I use 2.8GB in AC4 @ 1440P with 4X TXAA. It's quite memory hungry. There will be a lot of caching going on there but I think it's safe to say any less than 6GB is cutting it close for a long term investment into 4K regardless.

Strange with Battlefield 4, as there were a few Titan Quad SLi owners reporting usage of nearly 5GB in the beta. But I guess the answer is in the latter part of that sentence :D

I am sure I was using more previously and I did jump in and head for that favoured forum spot. I need a full server to test it properly and not just an empty one.

For accuracy, it needs a lot more testing but felt that was enough to show what is what.

I think with caching its still a reasonable bet as between the game and DX it's saying "well I could need this amount, and I'm not yet in any need to shift any for space"

Video ram is so fast though you wouldn't notice when it's shifting through the old stuff. It's any ones guess. But having 3 Ti's, I had to convince myself it's not worth going 4K yet with 3GB VRAM. Because there will no doubt be at least a couple games where I'd come unstuck

I've been looking for that overlay for awhile, without sounding like a idiot can I ask what it is? I have heard of it before but totally forgot what it is called lol.

If you mean the green numbers on my screens, it is MSI Afterburner and you add what you want to view on the settings.

Its part of MSI afterburner, iirc Rivatuner part

Thanks for the review greg :)

I'd love to see AMD 290 or 290x benches and VRAM usage. Part of me hopes it is cache and fully representative of VRAM usage, but that's just hope lol.

What does Assetto Corsa use? I wish you had Fifa or NBA 2k lol those are up there as my most played games and I bet they don't come close to 2 GB.
