What wage should I expect?

I just finished a trainee position in IT, It was a 12 month fixed term contract and I was paid £11.600.

I'd say as others have, Trainee IT positions usually pay between 10-12k per year.

Good luck with the job tho! :)

Thanks,I hope my boss is nice,I want to completely escape the government helping/doing us over with supposed "help"

So the more the better-I guess I shall see!

the orignal poster's attitude is fantastic i must say - there are numerous peoples out there that would not look beyond the wage and would fail to be motivated - kudos to you and hope you have scope to progress.
maybe ask if they will support study out of hours?>

Problem with IT, Is people want experience. Always been the same.

Which is why if it's the first major IT job you've been offered thats got something to do with the career you want, You'd be wise to grab it no matter what the wage, A training position is even better! and once you've got the experience under your belt along with qualifications, You can jump ship to higher paying jobs later! Or if the company you are with like you, You can obviously stick with them, With a nice pay rise. :)

Your foot may be in the door, but why is it only just in the door now when you're 25!!!!

because its unfortunately taken me this long to settle down and find out what I really want to do:(

But now I know there's no way in hell I'm going to give up on it:)
