1976 VW Beetle 1303s
1583cc Weber carb'd, bypassed (read rusted through) heat exchangers and a split manifold pre-heater pipe. Essentially a gas chamber on wheels, you had to drive with the window open to avoid suffocation. Not good on the way to work at 5am on a January morning. Good times!

well mine was a 1981 VW jetta mk1 1.6litre. Was in yellow and was really slow so people would take the **** and call it the yellow ferrari. Had great times in that car and really miss it, still in my name and i own it but have no idea where it is or who is driving it.

Cost me £800.

I loved that car. Was Rolling roaded at 168bhp

lol, mine was painted to look like the A team van with black windows,
& kitted out inside with fake red leather & red shagpile carpets

Started with an 850cc engine as I was 17, then I blew that, so fitted a 1275cc, & then a 1340cc.

Great days.....

1997 Toyota Starlet 1.3 Sportif in a sort of blue/purple colour. Paid £700 for it, done about £1k's worth of work (exhaust fell off, audio, alloys, brake discs/pads/shoes/etc) to it.

I still drive it, but going to scrap it shortly, I think .
