Do you mean audio tape, analogue tape? If so I can't remember, I'm old enough to remember 8-track players.

I still use a tape player in the car, still got a Yamaha tape deck for making my tapes, prefer the sound to CD tbh and making a good tape is an artform imo and a dying artform at that.

I used both cassette and reel to reel. Same as you, I can’t remember what the first album was.

I didn't have one but my older brother had one, I seem to remember recording rude sounds with the little mic you sometimes got with them just to annoy him. Great days

I had an Akai 4000DS in the early 70's.

I only ever bought classical albums on cassette tape and probably only bought 3 in total.
