What was your first ever PC?

First was an Oric 48k. The joy of spending hours typing in programs to watch a bunch of asterisks move about the screen, only to lose it all when you switched it off :p

I remember drooling over speccy's and bbc's... didnt have the money.

First real PC was a 486 dx266, with 8mb ram and a whopping single speed CD rom drive.... state of the art !!

Others : C64, Atari ST, Amiga 500 & 1200.

Twas a beast!

Had an Amiga for a long time, then got my first PC -

Pentium 233
64Mb Ram
4Gb HDD
ATI Rage 3D
17" rubbish CRT
No idea what the soundcard was.

One of the first games I played was Dark Forces 2 and I was like :cool::D:eek:

My first one was a ZX80 but then I got a ZX81 with the wobbly ram pack :D

I used to spend hours typing in code from ZX mags just to see a pixel move :D

Started with a BBC basic, was awesome, waiting for ages for the games to load from tape, but one year for Christmas i remember getting a (wait for it) floppy disk drive :D cost an absolute bomb (over 100 quid and them some iirc) but it meant games would load up in only a couple of minutes :D

First proper pc was a 486 DX4 100mhz :D

First proper built PC circa 1999: AMD K6-2 500, GeForce 256, 17' "flat" CRT, top of the line!

First proper PC game: Unreal Tournament, good place to start.
