What watch do you wear?

You do know that you shouldn't set the date between 9pm and 3am yes?

I found that out a few months ago and may have set the date between those hours a couple of times when I first got the watch but haven't done it for ages since I learned it was a bad idea. Could that have affected the mechanism for the date wheel?

This problem happens at all times of the day.

Question for the watch experts. I have an Omega De Ville which is about a year old. Sometimes the date won't advance when I pull the crown out to the first click (not sure what the technical term is, if you pull it out a little but you can change the date, all the way to set the time, you know what I mean). It doesn't do this every time, only sometimes. It works fine if I pull it all the way out and wind the hands past midnight and advances normally every day. Any ideas what's causing this?

Im not too familiair with omega's tbh. But on all the watches i own with date windows, the crown needs to be pulled out to the second click. On my automatics, the first position after unscrewing the crown is for manually winding the movement.

I was about to post what Setter said. It can sometimes be hard to tell just how many steps you've pulled out on some watches, so it may just be that? If you're ever in doubt, return the crown to its original position until you can feel each step defined.

Checking the manual is also a good idea! On my only Omega, you push the crown in (like a button) to advance the date, but it's from the '70s so going to be very different to yours, but does highlight the differences date change mechanisms can have.

Stunning piece that. If I'm not mistaken the only recent model without the engraved Rolex coronet at the "6" marker?

So close to pulling the trigger on a Sea-Dweller Deep Sea D-Blue right now. Tried my mates on and never thought I'd go for it. The size of it is overwhelming but somehow it just "fits". Very much chalk and cheese with regards to taste - it's massive and before I wore it I wasn't sold but after a very short amount of wrist time I was more than interested.

May PX a Seamaster in for it.

Yeah we mentioned that on the previous page, it's referred to by rolex addicts as the LEC Laser Etched Coronet, and yes you are right the green crystal is one of the only newer rolexes without it, whereas my white version does have it. I believe the green glass causes an issue with the laser process

The rainforest usually have stock in. I've looked on creation watches a few times but the 007 is never in stock.

I picked this up a couple of weeks back. I have not had watch in over 20 odd years it's taking a bit of getting used to wearing but I like it. No idea if it's any good but it's solar powered so must be cool.. :)

At a year old, it should still be under warranty,

I would send it in to Omega

To be fair, all my watches do that to some extent...

My way to set the time to the watch is always to pull to the 'second' click (hands moving), set the time (if needed), push back 2 clicks, gently pull one back to the date setting and then set the date...

My nephew damaged the date wheel first time he set it. It's very easy to do.
