What wheels?

He who dares wins, they fix defects before you take it, whats to lose, let them get the car if its not right you get the deposit back.

I had my local BMW dealer get my car from a dealer miles away, I didn't pay for it until any snags were resolved and if it wasn't up to standard the deposit would have been refunded.

Thats what im saying, there is no risk doing it that way with main dealers.

I'm going to see it for the first time today with the intention of doing the swap tomorrow if all is well.

Oh and on the wheels front, the garage its coming from have put some 108's on it that are in need of a refurb, then oxford swapped them with a good set from one of the two cars mentioned earlier (they now need to get the other wheels refurbed). sorted!

I'm praying for no more snow and a temperature rise of 10 degrees over christmas now :D wish me luck.

Yes there is, though to be fair I was under the impression the other dealer was delivering it to him, not a dealer, which changes it somewhat.

Where is the risk, im not seeing that.

well just been for a look and "she's a beaut", the only small issues were one small stone chip on the bonnet, looks like just clear coat taken off and some warn plastic around the gear stick that the sales man has said he will sort for me (and started to get it done before I left :D).

Other than that everything works, the hood seems nice and responsive, rear springs look ok (but cant properly get in there with wheels on). Paintwork looks incredible for its age as do the leather seats.

and best of all, it has 108's on it!

Defiantly worth the risk to snag this before anyone else got their grubby hands on it. I'm picking it up tomorrow.

The only photo I could get as I didn't really think too much about photos and there wasn't much room.

hang on what colour is your 530 is it silver and do you or do you not have a black interior? :P

Yer I know not exactly original, but its what I wanted, I dont like creme and I hate plastic wood (with a passion) so black and metallic was the logical step.

Im thinking of possibly trying to beg borrow and steal some extended leather bits if I can find them.

I do however have; pdc (lol on a small roadster), folding mirrors, elec + heated seats, cd changer, extended storage, wind deflector and 108's

However coming from a 1996 poverty spec mx5 with really terrible black plastic interior this is a serious upgrade. I mean it even has electric windows! ;)
(the mx5 didn't, well it didn't have anything tbh, seriously poor purchase on my part but we live and learn)

Absolutely.

And I envy the people who drive past in ones with cool interiors.

I'm sure if Fox was specing a new car he'd think twice before specing a green exterior with a purple interior and yellow polka dots just because it is "interesting". Conservative is king when it comes to resale

resale reshmale, I'm buying for me not the next guy and I dont like creme.

If it was a black car, I would have hunted high and low for the red interior but I dont think it suits silver.

I beg to differ :p

I'm not normally a fan of silver, but the Titansilber is surprisingly nice..
