What wifi card do I need?

So i have a Dell 7559 laptop and it has a meh intel ac 3165, i was looking for something better, most probably the intel ac 8265.

so if that a good option and if it is, what damn size / form factor one is i need because apparently it comes in more than one.

If anyone could help id be very grateful.

It's probably a M.2 2230. Have a look at what's installed at the moment and measure it.

ahh yes i believe it is, so the 8265 card is a fine option then?

Apologies for the epic thread bump, but it's the newest thread I could find referring to the Intel 3165.

mark2410, did you ever try to connect to 5GHz networks on your old card? The one is my HTPC is says it's dual band, but can't "see" any 5GHz networks around me (other devices can).

hi, erm i think so, intel says it def supports 5ghz but i whiped out that crappy card for an 8265e honesty i used it for not even 2 weekse it could be the antena atached doesnt see 5ghz well
