What would be a worthwhile upgrade from this.....

I'm thinking about upgrading as I'm selling my laptop so I'll have a few quid burning a hole in my pocket i currently have the following:
AMD Phenom II 940BE with Sunbeam CCF
Asus M3N-HT deluxe
4Gb Corsair dominator 8500 DDR2
Coolermaster HAF932
Corsair TX850w psu

and just got an XFX 5850 and looking for with crossfire and hopefully usb3/sata3 i'm not fussed about it being AMD or Intel, i'll have a budget of about £300-400 depending on what my old bits are worth

, I was really looking to replace the board chip and ram, I've been eyeing up a x6 or maybe something Intel for a change (my last Intel chip i bought was a 233mmx

) but must admit i am tempted by sticking with the chip and ram i have, will it handle another 5850?

+ 1 on the motherboard, xfire 5850's will be fine.
