I seem to spend most of my time when I am not at work on these forums and it has occurred to me that this is 1000's of hours over the last 7+ years and its probably my number 1 site i visit day in day out. I don't really know why and how this came to be and wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?
 
Spending most of your free time on this or any other forum is a bit sad. Aren't you the chap who has the young son and there's some separation/divorce angle in there as well? I remember you posting about how you spend time with him. Do more of this :)
 
he is in bed ;) I don't spend all day on here I mean free time( ie evenings)

watching tv + browse these forums.


and yet my post count is considerably lower than yours :D
 
I work 48+ hours a week and when im not working in the evenings i sit on the mac browsing forums/reviews/news etc

When i have a weekend off which is every other one i tend to wash the car, go out walking with the DSLR or go for a 2 night camping break with the misses.

pretty boring really but after a week of really physical work i feel lifeless and have no get up an go.

You could go to night classes or join a club. What are you interested in? What about going to the gym? Then again, if you're happy doing what you do then I don't see the issue, even though it's not the way I would spend my time.

Ah, post count : the single most useless 'function' of message boards across the world. Pro-tip : higher post count does not always equate to higher online time.
 
I have a pretty hectic lifestyle but spend a LOT of time on the forums whilst commuting or when I can't go to sleep. When it comes to my free time, I usually play games or go out but if I am unable to play games for whatever reason I just go on the forums and help others :)

I only came onto the forums for free delivery. I planned to get 250posts and leave it at that. Now, I've got over 10 times that as there is always something interesting to read. Also, I get satisfaction from helping ppl - we wouldn't be human without it.
 
I rarely only browse these forums without doing anything else at the same time (unless it's when I'm procrastinating during the day at work). I'll do it when I'm done doing everything I want to do for the day and am watching tv or listening to music or when I'm just generally browsing the internet.

I work out in my home built gym, night classes are a no no, wifey works some evenings and besides done that a few years back and got a HNC in software engineering part time. It don't bother me I just wondered if I was alone in thinking perhaps I could use my time more constructively.
 
Probably posting on another forum that would inevitably be full of dim Americans that make me lose faith in humanity.
 
I spend maybe a max of 2 hours on here a day... Hour at work and if I am lucky, a hour at home.

Far too many things to miss in the world to be sat inside :( Only learnt this a few months back lol.

I have a job where I am sat at a desk, waiting for the phone to ring. If the phone doesn't ring I can look at whatever I like online, watch movies, etc. I have recently re-discovered this forum and plan on using it to ease the boredom of the day a little.

In the evening, I am either entertaining the gf or play Black ops
 
I got thro Phases.... usually during the summer i spend little time at my PC, then in the winter i'm on it more!

The OcUK forums are a pass time during my work brakes mostly... other than that their usually the first and last thing I look at on the net!
