What would you do in this situation?

I've accepted a parcel on behalf of my neighbor, on the box it says refrigerate as soon as possible perishable goods inside. The box is around 3' square so it won't fit in my fridge as it stands.

I know my neighbor won't be home for another several hours.

I currently have the box in my conservatory as its the coldest part of the house.

They should be packaged to survive a decent time out of the fridge, another 7 hours shouldn't make any difference.

It will be packed in a cool box so I would just leave it where you have it. It could have been sitting in an unrefrigerated delivery truck until 8pm before it gets delivered so they have to make allowances for that.

3" square wont fit in your fridge? You must have a ram packed fridge or the smallest one on the planet

Was it delivered on a refrigerated van? And did it go through a refrigrated delivery network?

I suspect not, a few more hours in the conservatory shouldn't make a difference.

Bit windy these days, chuck it on their roof so the slipstream keeps it cool. Leave a note for them so they know "sorry, top off your roof".

Is it waterproof? You could maybe put it in a big bucket / your bath filled with cold water and/or ice and swap it for fresh cold water every hour or something.

Wow that's effort.
