Agreed with all those saying they are some mates. I wouldn't expect a true friend to do something like that, especially if they knew how much your car means to you and that you are currently in the process of trying to sell it. Idiots...

My first thaugh was get them back see how they like it, but then it will just keep going forever not really worth it. Was very tempted to let all their tyres down and super glue the caps on! that would be quite fitting I reckon.

well Im waiting to see if there is paint chips, coz then I will be mad!
heres the car, posted it a while ago, not exactly a shed, would take it as a joke if it awas a £200 nova -

Now you see, if I get them all back (very tempted by the tyres + glue idea) then Im accepting it as a joke, but I really dont think what they did is ok.
Definetly not funny, as you said something that could not damage anything, wake my neighbors etc.... would be funny not this, its pretty clear it was intended as a joke, but they went way to far.
Had I have seen one of them last night I may have been less rational, I drove past one of their cars this morning, so nearly did his window!

If they were proper mates then they wouldn't have done it. I know that none of my mates would do it to me as they know I'd not be amused. I wouldn't go for pay back as it will just end up in a tit-for-tat war. Not worth the hassle. I'd not be talking to them for a very long time or until they genuinely apologised after realising I didn't find it at all funny.

When I worked in uni halls the security guards car got egged from a first floor window, egg was washed off within the hour but still required a respray to the roof so it wouldn't surprise me if damage was done

I'd be very surprised if egg-shell chipped automotive paint. What does the damage is the contents of the eggs...
