What would you do

Did you list it as wikipedia though?

Surely if you use it you could just reference it as "Dr A. R. S. Hole" and make up a fictional book....no?

they'll usually check references :)

i just redid the report and found a proper reference for it in the end :)

Go see him!

He makes the effort for you - about time you returned the favour!

I'm with you on this one. i feel bad for this guy... he makes the effort to go round to yours but when he's ill you cant even be bothered to go see him. he deserves better mates to be honest.

Take a crate round there and have a laugh, go down the pub after the game or something if you really want to go down the pub

What would I do?

I'd avoid the pub like the plauge (hate pubs while people are still allowed to smoke in them). More so when there is any kind of "England" match on. I am not entirely sure which sport you are refering to tho.

Free food and drink - with plague guy coughing in the corner? No ta.

I'd shaft him and get your mates to go to the pub, they're all just waiting for someone to say it so they don't have to feel bad :)

You see we were all going to the pub originally, we can't all shift our plans for one person

If i had pneumonia i;d just say "i can't come, sorry"

cant believe most you guys are against me

That was quite difficult to read.

If he has pneumonia though i wouldnt be too worried about catching anything, but surely his immune system is pretty low - id be more worried about making him more ill.

Still though with your situation id rather watch it with some mates at a pub :)

So, explain to me again how he has pneumonia/ can take his driving test today/ can't go to the pub? something not quite right there ....

A mate would let you get out to the pub, he needs to get an early night to get well, you can visit him tomorrow :)

Ahhhh the trials of life.....

That's not one of them though.
Hes a mate and he's unwell and he's invited you round - go round!

That conversation was all a bit dramatic was it not? Blocking him so you could figure out how to tell him you weren't going round his house (worse still, telling him you'd blocked him for that reason) and saying you weren't prepared for telling him? You were saying no to going round his house not telling him his dog had just been run over.

If you didn't think you were doing the wrong thing you probably wouldn't have made it into the drama that it became.

Does no-one think his friend is being selfish? There's no prizes for being a florence nightingale you know and being manipulated is no fun.

It's perfectly clear that being in the local with your mates will be more fun - you will all enjoy it more. So he is asking you all to sacrifice your enjoyment for his benefit.

Some friend he is.

Telling him I blocked him was part of my regular humour, if you met this kid, and knew me you'd understand :)

Btw, this guy will annoy the hell out of you if you ever met him. As for making an effort to come down here, its not like we are bothered if he comes or if he doesnt come :) He HAS to make the effort, because nobody lives near him... why would everybody go up there instead

I read up on it on Wikipedia as soon as he mentioned it :)

but would you really want to be trapped in a small room with someone who had Pneumonia?

Ill keep thinking im catching something, thats just me.

One time I thought i had breast cancer (im a male btw). Found a lump under my nipple one day when watching CSI...scared the crap out of me. Went to the doc the next day, turns out iwas an inflamed lymth gland or something... got some anti acne tablets while I was there...turned out being a good call going (delt with my spots).

Lol yeah I had lumps under both nipples from when I was 13 - 15, at first I crapped it thinking it was cancer, I went to the doctors and he said it was something to do with being a horny teenager lol and they would go away naturally and I forgot about them for ages, then when I remembered them they were gone.
