I have a choice of getting the 226BW now.


or


Sticking to the plan and wait a month or 2 (unless the wifes is feeling
generous) and get a 2407wfp.


It will be mosly used for gaming / browsing.


Any thoughts, or guidance on the above dilema would be appreciated.

most people are going to say wait and get the bigger one, but then again your 8800 Gts 320, could start to struggle at the tft's native res, and that could be very soon with all the fancy graphics games coming out soon
 
The plan is to get a better card before the end of the year - the 320 was a
stop gap when moving over from AGP to the new system.

Ideally it should have been a choice of the ATI or 8900 at the end of Feb but
with no sign of the ATI card and the cancelling of the 8800 refresh the 320
seemed the logical choice (and hopefully hold a decent price when selling on)

I was going to wait till the end of the year and get the 24" monitor but I
sold my old PC and so I am £350.00 nearer the monitor than I thought I
would be.

I would get a bit longer out of the 320 with the 22" but I would be upgrading
anyways.

Just trying to compare the 2 monitors and see if the extra £200.00 is worth
it.

Also what like is the 24" like if I had to run at a lower res for a while ?

The only thing with the monitor is it is the only bit of kit that seems to last
more than a few years so I want to make the right choice on this.

One 2407 ordered at a rather attractive price.

You really have to love Easter Specials ;)
