I **** you not my friend, I've done it numerous times, normally with the older machines that used to do fivers.

I knew a girl that did it regularly.
 
I genuinely didn't know machines took the money back, so I would have taken it.

Finders keepers.
 
If he was still in sight I would have taken it and chased after him to beat him down to nick his phone and touch him inappropriately.
No wait I got that wrong...

If he was still in sight I might have gone after him and handed him the cash. If not left it, I could do with the money but he could need it to feed his kids.
Though part of me would be going "Natural selection, he's dim for leaving that there in this world, does he really deserve to eat this week" then another part going "Well, that is a bit of a **** move on your part"

left it. for all you know he could have been a government agent who would have hacked into the bankmachines camera then found out who you where from the machines logs. then of course he would find and end you


i once went to a bank machine in newcastle where someone had left it logged in with card in and the screen asking me how much money i wanted :eek: pressed cancel a few times and handed the card in inside the bank. felt good man
 
This happened to me not so long ago, on a first date, £300!

Handed it in to the manager at the CO-OP, he walked in when I was handing it over. He toke the cash no thanks or anything. Cmon I was only expecting like £50 of it.

Should have toke the cash.

This...i would have taken it...tried to track the guy ie run after him and tell him that heres his money...if i couldnt find him then id keep it but id do my best to find him before doing that.
 
Not all machines do retractions, nationwide don't for a start. :)

I wouldn't have taken it, however if it was an FI that didn't offer retractions I would have taken it and declared it to the FI. Then again working in the the industry I always feel it's my duty to do the right thing. Besides, I can't afford not to the right thing, as bang would go my BSIA and ACPO affiliation! :D
 
I would've taken it. waited around for a few minutes to see if the bloke comes back, if not finders keepers. If i didnt take it someone else would. If i left the cash in the machine ofcourse id want it back but chances are if theres no one else around im not going to get the money back.

Good for you man! Nice to see someone with scruples saying "that's not my money, I won't steal it".
I'm sure some will say that it's only taking from the bank, but where do they think that money comes from?

I'd leave it due to karma. If I took it, the machine would have had a camera that caught me, and then I'd be arrested and lose everything and be homeless and stuff. Which would suck :p
