Just been hit by a rather strange situation...

Was driving back from Morissons with my wife and 2 3yo's in the back about 15 minutes ago. As we approached our house there was a woman standing at the side of the road waving her arms about. We stopped and rolled down a window. It was obvious now that she had a massive black eye and was in a bit of of a state. She started flashing a wad of cash at us in return for a lift to the airport, her accent suggested Eastern European or something but defo not British. She was obviously scared of something/someone but was rather frightning herself tbh. Now, remembering I had 2 young kids in the back, what would you have done?

1. Gave her a lift?

2. Ignore her and go home?

3. Say no and drive to the police station 2 minutes up the road and report it?

4. Go home and phone the police? (where your home is 300 yards away and she would see where you lived)

I'll let you know what I did later...

I'm sorry to say that I would have ignored her and gone home

If I was on my own I would consider giving her a lift - but I wouldn't want to scare or put the kids in any danger whatsoever :(

I wouldn't have picked her up - especially with my kids in the back. The police are a few minutes away, if she really needed help and was totally legit she would have called them or asked to be taken to a police station.

Waving money about, asking for the airport and generally being foreign are all warning signs! I bet she had bombs under her skirt - go back and look then let us know.

Yeah, if it wasn't for the kids, most definitely have taken her for cash.
And then to the airport...

probably go home drop the Mrs & kids off, then either ring the police or take her to the police station.

I'd go for number 4.

I wouldn't trust anyone waving a wad of cash around asking for help with a Police station 2mins away.

Sounds like number 3 is the most popular. That's nice because that's exactly what we did. The police had already had one phonecall about her and another woman was in at the same time reporting her too.

As it stands just now she is sat in the passenger seat of a squad car right over the other side of the road, so the wife is having a good old curtain twitch at the window ;)

Ring the police while I'd wait for her. Could be a scam, unsuspecting guy stops, then big hench easten Europeans take his car.
