what would you like to change with the PS3/Community?

Only real reason I play more on my 360 is because of the awful and outdated PS3 pad. If it had something similar to the 360, I would only need one console.

Other than that, I think the PS3 is great and has better exclusives.

Hence what i said, it doesnt download while you do something useful to kill the time.

Will try out the tv catchup, but if its the same as the ps3iplayer website, then it may have issues with the ps3 darkening the image after not using the pad for so long.
 
I would like a better controller design, more PS1 games on the store, and a proper MMO so I can really put my time into the console.

Subtitles for the movies on the store rental service is a big wish too. I cannot seriously believe all those amazing films on the PSN like Godfather, Pulp Fiction and Apocalypse Now are in HD and lack subtitles! Absolutely criminal... (we have a few deaf people in our family who rely on them a lot)

That's the screensaver which can be turned off in settings.
 
what better controller design do people propose ? one aimed at people with uneven lengthed thumbs ?

rest of problems in here mainly seem to be stuff that is publisher/distributor based rather than sony

fair points on subtitles and 'party chat' though. also the headset thing although it might just mean more kids screaming like on live MW2

So a pad has to be perfectly symmetrical to be comfortable? Odd then that the 360 sticks sit perfectly under my thumbs, and they are the same length :p

Main problem is the triggers which are useless. It speaks volumes that a 3rd party add-on to make the triggers more like other pads is so popular. I can live with the sticks even though they are now outdated, and are still the same design as the original PSone analogue pad which had them bolted on as an afterthought to compete with the N64's controls.

I'd like to see them improve the trophy system. Some times when comparing trophies with friends, the PS3 locks up until it reads the entire list, that can take upwards of 10 mins :mad:
 
A better online system. Cross game chat etc. You can't even set up a voice chat room with a mate without a cam.. for some reason.

Maybe one day,

Still love my ps3.. it's just lacking with the online side of things (which is getting more important to me)

There is a thread on here somewhere showing how to put the internals for a PS3 pad into a 360 pad. Might be worth a look for you :)
 
I would DEARLY love (and have emailed PlayStation about this) a feature to search by price in the video store.

Sometimes I just wanna spend a couple of quid on a cheap and cheesy film, but without actually clicking on every film, there's no way to see how much each is to rent :(

Impossible. For unknown reasons, 12 year olds just love to announce themselves when there's a mic nearby. My cousin is the same... always says stupid things down the mic. On the other hand, older people just don't feel the point of talking to strangers over the internet :p
Basically, join a clan.
 
i used to be in a semi professional clan, to much training (15 hours a week) however if it was a clan of friends just for having a laugh and no training just pure fun

where do i sign? :)

this was the main reason i try to play with OCUK members :)

Press - I think it's square can't remember - and it changes the view from a grid to list on which it shows the price. It doesn't sort them, but makes it easier than clicking on everything.

I'm on about actual folders on your PS3 for all your downloaded games, movies, files etc.

Would be nice to have your hard drive content listed alphabetically instead of Creation Date, Last Played etc.

If they managed to get Trophies to list alphabetically, why did they not do it for all your downloaded games and other content?
